Capcom has not officially announced the game, so details surrounding the project should still be treated as unconfirmed. However, multiple reports have pointed toward the existence of a new Dead Rising project, making the possibility considerably more interesting for longtime fans.
A NEW PROJECT, NOT ANOTHER REMASTER
The biggest detail surrounding the rumored New Dead Rising Game is that it is reportedly being developed as a fresh mainline installment rather than another modernization of an older title.
Reports claim the project has been in development since at least 2023 under the alleged codename “Rec.” The same reporting suggests that the game could feature original protagonist Frank West, although Capcom has yet to confirm the character’s involvement.

FRANK WEST COULD BE HEADING TO HOLLYWOOD
